Support Solutions, based in Rockville, Maryland, provides a wide range of services in engineering, system integration, ship repair, and readiness and sustainment for military platforms. Its Technology Solutions & Services unit addresses the full life-cycle needs of U.S. Department of Defense and federal civilian customers with capabilities in systems engineering and technical assistance, system and subsystem integration, operations, and maintenance. TSS serves every branch of the U.S. military and numerous civilian agencies, operating the U.S. Army’s munitions plant in Kingsport, Tennessee; integrating communications systems and developing and integrating precision tracking radars; and providing design and support services for air and missile defense systems.

The Ship Repair business is the leading U.S. provider of non-nuclear ship repair, conversion, and modernization services. It focuses on drydock and pier-side ship repair and sustainment services for the U.S. Navy, other defense agencies, and commercial customers.

The Readiness & Sustainment business focuses on customers’ growing need for through-life platform support.

Specific duties include:

1. Establish effective relationships with customers and stakeholders.
2. Conduct training task analysis, HTA training course design and development, course implementation, and course evaluations.
3. Work with the training development team to determine the best approach for specific requirements.
4. Collect and analyze information using appropriate qualitative and quantitative techniques.
5. Interpret results and report the results and conclusions in both graphical and/or narrative form; brief and make recommendations as to optimal solution to meet the identified need(s)
6. May have occasional supervisory responsibilities

Required

Individual must be a U.S. citizen and hold a current TS/SCI (i.e., has a current SBI)
level security clearance.

1. Bachelors degree in geography/sociology or field relatable to Human Terrain
2. Minimum of 10 years professional experience including the following:
a) Human Terrain application experience ?in military operations.
b) Experience working with NGA (experience with other intel organizations
Will be considered)
c) Experience as an educator/trainer/instructor; knowledge of the Instructional Systems Design (ISD)
methodology a plus
d) Experience as a technical staff member who works well with people
3. Maintains professional currency (through work experience, seminars, conferences,
journals, HTA programs).
4. Serve as a top level technical expert, possibly working on multiple projects.
5. Ability to initiate, develop and sustain productive working relationships with NGA and
NSG customers, training coordinators, and requirements managers.
6. Qualified to conduct some HTA research; has knowledge of HTA data systems.
7. Effective in interpersonal relations, and written / oral communications skills.
8. Good analytical skills (both quantitative and qualitative) a plus.
9. Able to organize data and interpret, brief results, and provide recommendations to
program leadership.
10. Ability to use common business software, particularly the MS Office Suite.
11. Ability to work independently, be a proactive problem solver, establish priorities,
and meet deadlines.
